David is a 3rd generation funeral director and lifetime resident of Terre Haute. David continues over 100 years of service since his grandfather started The Callahan Funeral Home in 1913. After his father's death, he purchased the former Ball Porter Hughes Funeral Home in 1987 and continued his family’s tradition from this new location.


David is a graduate of Terre Haute South, Indiana State University, and Mid-America College of Funeral Service. He is a Rotarian, avid golfer and fisherman, and enjoys every opportunity to spend time with his grandchildren. He and his wife, Molly, have two children and attend St. Patrick Church.

Molly brings strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented mindset to the back office operations of the funeral home. When she’s not at work, Molly volunteers at Union Hospital and St. Patrick Catholic Church, and spends time with her extended family. She loves sharing her love of reading with her grandchildren, who always look forward to a visit with "Mimi".

Floyd joined Callahan & Hughes in 2004 after managing several local funeral homes and has been a licensed funeral director for 37 years. A lifelong resident of Terre Haute, Floyd is an elder at Maryland Community Church, and in his spare time enjoys listening to and playing jazz music. He is a graduate of Terre Haute North, Indiana State University, and Mid-America College of Funeral Service. He and his wife, Diane, live in Terre Haute and have one son.

Frank has worked at Callahan & Hughes since 2006 and has 24 years of experience in the funeral and cemetery industries. Frank is always lending a hand to friends and family working on restorations or projects around his home. He and his wife, Ruth, live in Terre Haute and attend the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. They love to visit their children and grandchildren around the country.

John makes the 4th generation of funeral directors in the Callahan family. After graduating from Terre Haute North, he earned a bachelor’s degree from Ball State University and spent time working as an analyst in Muncie, IN before moving back to Terre Haute. John, his wife, Marie, and their two children attend St. Patrick Church and enjoy spending time outdoors with friends and family.
