Maria Lynn Flores

Maria Lynn Flores, 55, of Terre Haute passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023.  She was born August 17, 1967 in Indianapolis, IN to Glenn Cardwell and Elizabeth Pearsey Cardwell.

Survivors include her daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Flores of Glassboro, NJ;  her father, Glenn Cardwell and his wife, Martha “Marty”, of Terre Haute;  her brother, Paul Cardwell (Djanedi) of Indianapolis;  and several aunts, uncles and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her mother.

Maria was a graduate of Terre Haute South Vigo High School and attended Indiana State University.  She had worked as a cashier at Goodwill Industries.  Maria’s faith was a very important part of her life.  She was a member of Terre Haute First Baptist Church and loved the experiences she had while making a trip to the Holy Land.  Maria enjoyed astronomy, science fiction, biology and working with her friends at Goodwill.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 7, 2023 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25 ^th Street, with Reverend John Campbell officiating.  Burial will be in East Hill Cemetery in Rushville, IN.  Visitation is scheduled prior to services from 10:00-11:00 AM in the funeral home.  Funeral information and tributes may be found at www.callahanandhughes.com .
