Wilma Mae Roman

Wilma Mae Roman, 94, of Terre Haute passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2022 in Westminster Healthcare.  She was born November 8, 1927 in Terre Haute to Rollin Jenkins and Wilhelmina Wickhorst Jenkins.

Survivors include her children, Dennis Roman (Gail), Douglas Roman (Brenda), Daniel Roman (Leslie), and Judith Phillips (Jack Clouse); sister, Margaret Lee; sisters-in-law, Janice Jenkins and Judy Jenkins; grandchildren, Cynthia Phillips-Sabla, Shelby Miles, Katy Smith, Fred Kuhn IV, Abby Murphy, Brian Roman, Nicholas Roman, Selina Mitchel, Shayne Roman, Brent Roman, and Mitchell Roman; and 11 great grandchildren and two on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Roman; her parents; daughter, Janet Kuhn (Fred); brothers, Warren “Tony” Jenkins,  James Jenkins (Janet), and Richard Jenkins; sisters, Carol “Sue” Hammons (Donald); Harriett Jenkins, Anna Frankowiak (Frank); and brother-in-law, Russell Lee.

Wilma was a retired customer investment officer at First Financial Bank. She was a member of First Baptist Church, a graduate of Wiley High School, and Past President of First Financial Bank Retirees. Wilma loved to play cards, travel, visit family, go to grandkids ballgames, bowl, and play bingo. She enjoyed quilting and needlepoint.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, October 10, 2022 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25 ^th Street, with Reverend Steve Newman officiating.  Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.  Visitation will be prior to services from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First Baptist Church.
