William Paul Hatcher, 70, of Terre Haute died Monday, July 4, 2016 in his residence. He was born November 26, 1945 in Terre Haute to William Wesley Hatcher and Doris Rita Vaughn Hatcher.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Judy Graham Hatcher; son, William Hatcher, Jr. of Terre Haute; brother, Frank Hatcher and his wife Faith of Peru, IN; sisters, Margaret Wier of Georgetown, TX, Catherine Hatcher of Clinton, IN, Deloris Case of Terre Haute, Rosemary Wiggins and her husband Victor of Terre Haute, Cecilia Works Hatcher of Danville, IL, Mary Hatcher of Terre Haute, and Diane Hatcher of Danville, IL; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Joseph Anthony Hatcher.
William was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church, Holy Rosary Catholic Church, the Vigo County Conservation Club, Teamsters Union, the Moose, and the Laborers Union. He enjoyed cooking, camping, and fishing. His biggest love, beside his family, was animals, especially his dogs. He loved playing poker and watching westerns, especially Gun Smoke.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 8, 2016 in Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Father John Hollowell officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 7, 2016 in the church with a rosary service at 7:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street. Memorial contributions may be made to Great Lakes Caring Hospice.
