Wanda Mae Heesaker

Wanda Mae Heesaker, 88, of Terre Haute passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016 in her residence. She was born March 16, 1927 in Hamilton, Ohio.

Survivors include her husband, Edward G. Heesaker; children, Larry D. Rodneff of Davie, FL, Cathy Ward, Mike Ward, and Janet Ward Reed all of Terre Haute; step-son, Ed Pierce of Missouri; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her mother, Leila Jane White; brother, Claude; and sisters, Eva, Irene, and Edith.

Wanda was a hard working woman with an I can do it attitude. She would never turn anyone away who needed help or a good meal, as she was an excellent cook. She had a great sense of humor and a wonderful spirit. Wanda loved the outdoors and working in it. She was an exceptional wallpaper hanger and loved to decorate. Wanda was a dance teacher, and competed in ballroom dance competitions.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 1, 2016 in Callahan Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Pastor Kyle Andrews officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled prior to services from 11:00 A.M. 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Terre Haute Humane Society.
