VIRGINIA M. FRENCH Virginia M. French, age 70 of Terre Haute, Indiana and formerly of Batesville, Indiana, died Friday, March 14, 2014. Born March 23, 1943 in Batesville, she is the daughter of Marjorie (Nee: Young) and Edward Moenter. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, the Batesville V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and a former member of St. Louis Catholic Church of Batesville. Ginny owned and operated the French's Meat Locker in Batesville for 20 years before retiring in 1998. Ginny loved being outdoors doing yard work and tending to her flower beds. Blessed with a green thumb, each summer her yard would come alive with a wave of colors admired by all. That tidiness carried over to the inside of the house too, as her children indicated that Ginny was very meticulous about keeping a clean house. She loved animals and over the years had several birds and dogs that were all special to her. Her family recalled mom doing quite a bit of sewing in her younger years and making many of their clothes. She was also a good cook and they always looked forward to her Easter dinners. Faith was important to Ginny too. She was very devout to the Blessed Mother and Our Lady of Lourdes. She is survived by daughters, Tina Wautelet and her husband, Randy, of Terre Haute, and Sonya Fischmer of Batesville; son, Edward French of Greensburg, Indiana; ten grandchildren, Simon Wautelet, Samuel Wautelet, Emily Wautelet, Gabriel Wautelet, Josh Hountz, Kara Hountz, Evan Hountz, Adam Flannery, Tyler French and Reece French; and three great-grandchildren, Austin, Kayliona & J.
