Virgie Lois Vermeulen, 98, of Terre Haute passed away Monday afternoon, December 17, 2018 at Westminster Health and Rehab. She was born December 10, 1920 in Tecumseh, IN to Garfield and Louisa Neal. Her husband, Raymond Vermeulen, preceded her in death in 2002.

Survivors include her daughter, Joyce Louise Cadwallader of Terre Haute; a sister-in-law, Margaret Neal of Terre Haute; a son-in-law, Tom Dixon of Denver, CO; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jacqueline "Jackie" Vermeulen; and four brothers, Audrey, Roy, Jack and Herbert Neal.

Lois was a graduate of Fayette High School in New Goshen, IN and had worked at in the credit department of Sears, Roebuck & Company for 19 years. She travelled throughout much of the United States with her husband while he was working as an insurance agent. Lois was an avid reader and was a member of the Eastern Star.

Graveside Services will take place at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 20, 2018 in Woodlawn Cemetery with Reverend Scott Johnson officiating.
