Victor C. Stievenart, 84, of Terre Haute passed away Thursday, September 1, 2022. He was a retired Maintenance Technician for Hercules/AET Corporation. Victor was born June 6, 1938 in Brazil, IN to Ernest L. Stievenart and Margarite Plumb Stievenart.
Survivors include his children, Cary Goodrich (Jared R.) of Shabbona, IL, Chuck Stievenart of Bedford, IN and Gregory Allen Stievenart of Rockport, MA; his ward, Autumn R. Lewis of Terre Haute; and five grandchildren, Loren, Claire, Nicole, Rebekah and Emma. Also surviving are his brother, John “Jack” Stievenart (Marcia) of Terre Haute; his sister, Ernestine Bolton of Indianapolis; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Karen R. Stievenart; and four sisters, Charlotte McKasson, Betty Winn, Frances Deckard and Janet Stievenart.
Victor was a graduate of Brazil High School and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Riley Masonic Lodge #390, Scottish Rite Valley of Terre Haute and Zorah Shrine where he was active in driving children to Shriners Hospitals for treatment. Victor could fix about anything and loved riding his Gold Wing motorcycle.
Visitation is scheduled from 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, September 9, 2022 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25 th Street. Masonic Memorial services will follow at 7:00 PM with Riley Lodge #390 officiating. Cremation will take place with burial at a later date in Highland Lawn Cemetery. If friends should so desire, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 4400 Clayton Ave., St. Louis, MO 63110.
