Tom Mcbroom, Jr.

Tom McBroom, Jr., 67, of Terre Haute passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022 in his residence.  He was born March 20, 1954 in Council Bluffs, IA to Tom McBroom, Sr. and Ida Endorf McBroom.

Survivors include his wife Sandra Larson McBroom; son, Kris Kraut (Gretchen); sisters, Joyce McKelvey (Jim) and Judy Dashner (Charlie); granddaughters, Adelaide and Penelope; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Tom was a longtime member of St. Patrick Catholic Church where he served in many ministries most notably Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and teacher of Confirmation. He was a Pro-Life Champion and the coordinator of the annual Life Chain for almost 25 years.  Tom was a systems engineer for Viavi Solutions and upon retirement worked for O’Reilly Auto Parts. He was an Army veteran serving in Korea. Tom loved his dogs, Lexi, Buddy, and Emma.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 in St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Ben Syberg and Father Dan Bedel officiating.  Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.  Visitation will be prior to services from 9:00 – 11:00 A.M. in the church.  Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25 ^th Street.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church or Wabash Valley Right to Life.  Funeral information may also be found at www.callahanandhughes.com .
