Susan I. Wagner, 73, of Terre Haute passed away Monday morning, October 29, 2018 at Harrison's Crossing Health Campus. She was born January 2, 1945 in Corryville, OH to G. Leonard Lorentz and Ida Rose Laake Lorentz.
Survivors include her loving husband of 45 years Jerome F. Wagner; four children, Mary Ellen Spencer (Jeremy) of Greenfield, IN, Joseph Wagner (Michele) of Whiteland, IN, Susanne Marie Wagner of Terre Haute and Julie Ann Wagner of Terre Haute; and two grandchildren, Ariana Wagner and Kyle Wagner. Also surviving are a brother, Jerome Lorentz (Ellen) of Cincinnati, OH; a sister, Nancy Lorentz Ellensohn (Richard) of Cincinnati, OH; a brother in-law, Robert Wagner of Westchester, OH; many nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; and an infant sister, Donna Marie.
Susan attended Marian University of Indianapolis and graduated from Edgecliff College/ Xavier University. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church where she was a volunteer in the church soup kitchen and also was a teacher at St. Patrick School. She was a former Director of Religious Education at St. Joseph Church and was a member of the Newcomer's Club. Susan was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother and was an amazing "stay at home mom". She loved to cook, work in her garden, spend time with her family and go on family vacations.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 AM Friday, November 2, 2018 in St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1807 Poplar Street, with Father Dan Bedel officiating. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 1st from 2:00-5:00 PM also in St. Patrick Church. A visitation is also scheduled for Tuesday, November 6, 2018 from 5:00-8:00 PM in Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 5527 Cheviot Road, Cincinnati, OH. Burial will take place on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 10:00 AM in Saint Mary's Cemetery, Saint Bernard, OH. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street.
