Susan Elaine Corenflos

Survivors include her sister, Linda (Robert) Burkett of Clinton; brother, James Corenflos of Houston, TX; nephews; Thomas (Amy) Burkett of Terre Haute, Charles Burkett of Clinton; nieces, Jacqueline (Shaun) Striegel of Clinton, Suzanne (Mike) Gorgas of Sullivan, and Jamie Burkett of Clinton; great-niece, Hannah Burkett; great-nephews, Truman Cloyd, Lindon Gorgas, and Harrison Gorgas; cousins, Marie (John) Aycock, Bobbie Corenflos, Marge McFarland, and Denise Snyder; and her beloved dogs, Mattie and Simon. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Roger Corenflos.
Susan graduated from Wiley High School in 1968. She had several careers that she enjoyed. During her college years she worked at Ambrosini's as a waitress. After receiving her B.S. from Indiana State University in the field of social work, she was the Program Coordinator fro the State Board of Vocational and Technical Education in Indianapolis where she made many lasting friendships. She then returned to Terre Haute and worked as a realtor for Team Realty and that eventually led to her career at Harrison Apartments. She was the managing officer since its opening day in 1993. Susan married Charles Greenwell on May 9, 2004 in Clinton, IN. Susan was an avid Colts fan and would never miss a game. She also loved holistic medicine and organic foods. Susan loved her pets and would often care for strays.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, November 17, 2016 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Reverend Brian Taylor officiating. Visitation is scheduled from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Graveside committal services will be Thursday at 2:00 P.M. at Yale Cemetery in Yale, IL. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to For Paws' Sake Canine Rescue, P.O. Box 765, Brazil, IN 47834.
