Stephen Robert Tucker

Stephen Robert Tucker, 73, of Terre Haute passed away early Wednesday morning, October 30, 2024. He worked with Firestone Auto Care in Terre Haute for 38 years. He enjoyed working at Firestone and was affectionately known by his customers as “Firestone Steve”. Steve was born August 9, 1951 in Urbana, IL to Wesley Otis Tucker and Marjorie McClintock Tucker.

Survivors include his children, Robert Joseph Tucker (Brandi), Andrew Thomas Tucker (Kieu My), Briana Helms (Thomas), Jeeana Kerns (Travis) and Rayna Hall (Ernest); grandchildren, Kevin Dang, Alyssa Jean Tucker, Jenna Clair, Tyler Corenflos, Jaycee Kite, Colby Shephard and Jaxon Kite; and a great-grandchild, Roman James Corenflos. Also surviving is his sister, Rebecca Roelens; the mother of his sons, Debra Brennan; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Teri Jean Myers-Tucker; brother, Bill; and sister, Susan. 

Steve was a graduate of State High School and earned his bachelor's degree from Indiana State University. He served in the Indiana Air National Guard with the 181st Tactical Fighter Group at Hulman Field. Steve loved to read books, watch movies, bowl and was a Chicago Cubs fan. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and Eta Sigma Phi Honorary Fraternity. Family and friends were most important to Steve, especially when he was around the grandkids.

Funeral services will take place at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, November 9, 2024 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Father Todd Reibe officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled prior to services from 10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon.
