Simone L. Terrell Cline, 99, of Terre Haute passed away early Thursday morning, October 27, 2022. She was born March 20, 1923 in Colombes, France, a suburb of Paris. Simone was the daughter of Leon and Louise Billoir Arrachequesne.
Survivors include her granddaughter, Alison Terrell Arnold and her husband, Jagen Arnold; her grandson, Adam W. Terrell; her daughter-in-law, Debbie Terrell; and a special niece, Ann Cline Tornese and her husband, Lin.
Simone came to America March 26, 1946, and became a U.S. citizen February 1, 1952. She married William F. Terrell, father of her son, who passed away May 30, 1969. She married Lewis Raymond Cline October 7, 1972, who passed away February 13, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her son, William H. Terrell on December 21, 2011; and her dear friend, Harry R. Gee.
Simone worked at Pfizer from 1957-1960. She retired from Anchor Glass (Midland Company) on February 1, 1985 after 25 years of service. She enjoyed crocheting, hand knitting, machine knitting and her computer. Simone made many baby blankets, sweaters and afghans for her family and church. She made many trips back to France, some with her husband and son, to visit her family, and also travelled to Hawaii, Central America and Alaska.
Simone was a 50 year member of The Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #188 of Sullivan, IN, a member of Badoura Temple #23 Daughters of the Nile of Terre Haute, IN and a member of Central Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon, Friday, November 4, 2022 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25 th Street, beginning with OES Memorial Services and Nile Memorial Services and concluding with funeral services officiated by Pastor Mike Riggins. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled prior to services from 11:00 AM- 12:00 Noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are preferred to Central Presbyterian Church, 125 North 7 th Street, Terre Haute, IN 47807 or to the charity of your choice.
