Shannon Michelle Perry

Shannon Michelle Perry, 51, passed away peacefully at home on January 25, 2020. Shannon was born on September 30, 1968 in Fayetteville, NC.

She loved spending time with her family and having fun with friends. She also loved to read and be with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Steven Perry, Sr.; parents, William and Kathleen Porter; her three children, Amber Carter (Adam), Alexis Perry (Michael Whitner), Steven Perry II; eight grandchildren, Anthony, Darian, Jahaven, Elijah, Colten, Olivia, Chance, and Mallory; a sister, Angela Traxler; and two brothers, John Matherly (Crystal) of Terre Haute, and Rick Matherly (Mishelle) of Tennessee.

She touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life. She had a heart of gold and she was someone you will never forget. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
