Sandy worked for many years as a banquet server at The Galt House hotel in Louisville. She and Ralph were active in leading and participating in a military family support group during her son’s deployments in Iraq. She was also an integral leader in a cancer support group at the Hux Cancer Center. She loved to go on her walks, generally trekking an average of 3 miles, no matter how tired she was. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren. Sandy could always be found at their sporting events, cheering them on from the sidelines. Sandy was kind, warm, loving, and a fighter to the end. Her memory will be treasured.

A funeral ceremony will take place at 1 PM, on Saturday, at the funeral home, with Father Ronald Ashmore officiating. Sandy will be laid to rest with family at Calvary Cemetery.
