Sandra Kay Kent, 68, of Terre Haute and formerly of Lewis passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016 in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was born December 30, 1947 in Brazil, IN to Merl Kent and Rosa Hughbanks Kent. Sandra was a retired electronics technician at Crane Naval Support Activity.

Survivors include her sister, Iris Wicks; nieces, Sherry Hydrick and her husband Charles and Terry Strouse and her husband Ken; aunt, Jean Lawson; great nephews, Scott Strouse and Christopher Strouse; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Sandra was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Lewis, IN.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., on Sunday, October 16, 2016 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Reverend Ed Gladdish officiating. Burial will be in Friendly Grove Cemetery in Lewis, IN. Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to services on Sunday. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a humane society.
