Sandra H. Hicks

Sandra H. Hicks, 73, of Terre Haute died Friday, March 8, 2013 in Methodist Hospital. She was born April 13, 1939 in Terre Haute to Elmer C. Hartman and Gladys Holsapple Hartman. She was a retired school teacher in the Vigo County School Corporation. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Hicks in 1995. Survivors include four daughters, Kara Kirton of Indianapolis, Keely Maurer of Canton, Ohio, Susan Hicks Bryant of Clarksville, Tennessee and Betsy Glassey of Bloomington; two sons, Tim Hicks and his wife Cherri of Schertz, Texas and Dan Hicks of Coral Springs, Florida; eighteen grandchildren;one great grandchild; and several cousins. Sandra was a graduate of Wiley High School Class of 1957. She was a member of Newcomers Club of Terre Haute, Red Hat Society of Terre Haute and Chatter and Stitch Quilt Club. She was an enthusiastic golfer and quilter. A Celebration of Sandra's Life will be 7:00P.M. Wednesday, March 13, 2013 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street. Visitation is scheduled from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday in the funeral home.
