Ruth Margaret Walls, 90, of Terre Haute died Thursday, May 25, 2017 in St. Vincent Specialty Hospital. She was born April 9, 1927 in Bedford, Indiana to Ray Cummings and Hattie Mae Bunch Cummings.
Survivors include her children, David Ray Walls and his wife Brenda, Peggy Winters and her husband Les, Bill Walls, and Betty Harris and her husband Steve all of Terre Haute; brother, Donald Cummings and his wife Vi who was like a sister and a best friend of Bedford; sister, Judy Scruggs of Arizona; grandchildren, James David Walls, Curt Harper and his wife Dawn, Tim Winters and his wife Julie, Brye Winters and his wife Kari, Michelle Kemp and her husband Nate, Sherri Fernander, Ray Travioli, and Amy Harris; granddaughter-in-law, Amy Beth Walls, great grandchildren, Benjamin Patrick Walls, Elizabeth Grace Walls, Zachariah Harper, Isaac Harper, Lauralie Harper, Jacob Winters, Allison Winters, Kameron Winters, Mason Winters, Jenna Louise Kemp, Leah Frances Kemp, and Kasen "Pee Wee" Kemp; and her extended Bedford family. She was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Rolla Walls; her parents; grandson, William Phillip Walls; great granddaughter, Miranda Harper; brother Roy Cummings; and sister, Carolyn Sue Cummings.
Margaret loved monkeys, playing cards, music, and eating at Cracker Barrel where she could see Maggie. She loved to sit on her porch and look at the red knock out roses. Margaret was a great wife, mother, and granny.
Per her request private family services will be conducted on Tuesday, May 30, 2017. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers please do an act of kindness in her name.
