Roxie Shelton Price, 88, of Terre Haute, passed away Friday afternoon, September 11, 2015 in Union Hospital with her family by her side. She was born November 5, 1926 in Owensboro, KY to Guy Crist Shelton and Anna Nall Shelton. Her loving husband, Dr. Harold B. "Bud" Price, preceded her in death on June 4, 2004. Survivors include her daughter, Debra Price Swan of Alexandria, VA; her son, Dr. Stephen L. Price of Terre Haute; three grandchildren, Scott Price and Christopher Price of Hilton Head Island, SC and Hayley Shelton Swan of Alexandria, VA; one great-grandchild, Dean Michael Price of Hilton Head Island, SC; two sisters, Emily Yeiser of Evansville, IN and Jane Clayman of Gainesville, FL; one brother, Sam Shelton of Richardson, TX; sisters-in-law, Christa Price of Terre Haute and Blanche Shelton of Orlando, FL; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Herbert Kidd Swan and brother, John Wesley Shelton. Roxie was a member of Tri Kappa and the Welcome Club and she previously volunteered at the Beacon School of the Valley. Roxie enjoyed playing golf, cards with friends, and gardening. Her greatest joy in life was as loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 16, 2015 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Reverend Scott Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday from 5:00-7:00 P.M. in the funeral home. The family kindly requests that memorial contributions may be made to the Terre Haute Humane Shelter, 1811 S.
