Rosetta Irene Hedges Rosetta Irene Hedges, 92, of Terre Haute, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2015 in Westminster/Davis Gardens Health Center. She was born Rosetta Irene Trout on October 23, 1922 in Terre Haute, IN, Vigo Country to the late Roy and Barbara Trout. She attended Otter Creek Grade School and graduated from Otter Creek High School in 1940. On July 27, 1945, she married Raymond Noah Hedges. On July 25, 1951, she gave birth to her only son, Darryl Ray Hedges. In 1956 the family moved to Glenview, IL for a short time while their new house was being built in Wheaton, IL, a suburb located about 35 miles West of Chicago. In the early 1960's, the family adopted a young girl, Cheryl Lynn Hedges, through a program affiliated with the Wheaton Bible Church. She was two years old at the time of her adoption. The family lived in Wheaton until 1968 when Ray and Rosetta had a new home built in St. Charles, IL. In the late 1970's she and Raymond moved to Burlingame, CA, where Raymond was employed for about nine months in the advertising industry. Shortly there after they moved back to Terre Haute and purchased their last home. Rosetta held several jobs during her lifetime, working most recently for the Bemis Bag Company in Terre Haute. Rosetta was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church and regularly worshipped there until her death. She was active in church activities. Rosetta enjoyed gardening and caring for several of the cats that lived in her neighborhood. Rosetta is survived by her son and his wife, Darryl and Pamela Hedges of Bartlett, IL; her daughter, Cheryl Lynn Leddy of St. Croix, The Virgin Islands; her two grandsons, Josh Keshmiri and his wife Amy of Centre, AL and Bryce Keshmiri of Montana; her great granddaughter, Hannah Keshmiri and her greatgrandson, Malichai Keshmiri; her niece, Janice L. Allen and her husband Glenn of Chapin, SC. Rosetta was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Hedges on August 8, 2001; and a brother, William Roy Trout on November 6, 1997. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday, September 21, 2015 at the Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home with the Reverend Mel Camp officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled on Monday, September 21, 2015 from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M.
