Ronda Sue (White) Parks, 66, of Terre Haute, IN, was called to her heavenly home on Sunday, October 4, 2015 from Union Hospital. Ronda was born in Indianapolis, IN on June 23, 1949 to Howard J. White and Evelyn Chrisler White. She was united in marriage to Charles R Parks on February 3, 1979 in Hammond, IN. She was a 1967 graduate of Ben Davis High School. She graduated from Indiana State University with a bachelor's degree in Interior Design and also received her master's degree from ISU in Home Economics. Ronda worked a number of years at JC Penney; taught home economics at Indiana State University and Eastern IL University; worked at Swope Art Gallery in Terre Haute; and the job she enjoyed most was working at the Vigo County Public Library (Meadows Branch). Ronda was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She played in the bell choir, was a member of Trinity Women Circle, participated in Tuesday Bible study, and volunteered in the church office. She was a Union Hospital volunteer. Ronda enjoyed crafting and was an avid reader. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Charles R Parks; sisters, Nedra Ann Hoard (Al), Pamela Lea Antonelli, Randa Lue White (her twin sister); a brother Warren Douglas White; and her feline companion, Khat. Visitation will be Thursday, October 8, 10:00 AM - 12:00 noon. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at noon at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Dana A. Newhouse officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 2620 Ohio Blvd., Terre Haute, 47803 or the Exotic Feline Rescue Center, 2221 E. Ashboro Road Centerpoint, IN 47840. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street, Terre Haute.
