Roberta Jane Whiteman Roberta Jane Whiteman, 93, of Largo, Florida and formerly of Terre Haute died Sunday, August 18, 2013 in Baycare Alliant Hospital in Dunedin, Florida. She was born September 3, 1919 in Terre Haute to Robert Mayrose and Bertha Waldbieser Mayrose. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Robert L. Whiteman who died in 1997. Survivors include a son, Lynn Whiteman and his wife Connie of Bardstown, KY; a daughter, Carol Ann Silcott and her husband Michael of Pinellas Park, FL; three grandchildren, David Silcott and his wife Jennifer of Largo, FL, Dr. Lindsey Whiteman of Glasgow, KY and Jonathan Whiteman of Bardstown, KY; three great grandchildren, Brian Farrell, Dillon Silcott and Brent Silcott all of Largo, FL; a sister-in-law, Ilene Mayrose of Henderson, NV; two nephews, Carl Mayrose, Jr. and his wife Stephanie of Carpentaria, CA and Sam Mayrose and his wife Missy of Henderson, NV; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Carl F. Mayrose, Sr. Roberta graduated from Indiana State Business College and was a member of St. Mark United Church of Christ. She loved flowers, birds and bright colors. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 26, 2013 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street with the Reverend Teresa Higus officiating. Burial is in Highland Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 to 5:00 P.M.
