Robert Eugene Weger, Jr.

Robert Eugene Weger, Jr., 55, of Terre Haute passed away Tuesday afternoon, October 27, 2020.  He was a Torchman for many years at local scrap yards, Goodman & Wolf and Russ Fisher Truck Parts. Many say he had a real talent with a torch in his hand. Robert was born June 14, 1965 in Terre Haute to Robert E. Weger, Sr. and Darlene Yakel Weger.

Survivors include his children, Sherry McCullough, Robert Weger (Stephanie), and Justin Weger (Teia); six grandchildren, Alexyia Weck, Christopher Weck, Chalynn Weger, Izic Weger, Abbigail Weger, and Justin Weger, Jr.; two brothers, George Weger (Barbie), and David Weger (Marla); five sisters, Patricia Cottom (Jerry), Sandra Lawrence (Bobby), Millie Schell (Paul), Ethel Adkins, and Virginia Weger; two uncles, Chuck Weger, Sr. (Mary), and Steve Weger (Trina); three aunts, Susie Elder, Sue Weger, and Jenny James; twenty-six nieces and nephews, Tamara and Joey McKee, Richard and Rachel Cottom, Bobby Lawrence (Alicia), Lori Hogle (Brad), Nickole Donham (Gary), Anthony Schell, Josh Schell (Michelle), Brooke Cottom, CJ Judy (Crystal), Josh Judy (Miranda), James and William Adkins, Grace Cooksey (Andy), Katey Fields (Austin), Amanda and Taylor Weger, Laura Jackson (Paul), Timothy Harbaugh (Jessica), Braxton, Kayleen, and Lexie Harbaugh, Brittany Weger, David Weger, Jr. (Breanna), Amber Weger; thirty-seven great nieces and nephews; many cousins and friends.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Loretta Rogers Weger in 1999; his second wife, Ida Burke Weger in 2019; mother, Darlene; father, Robert; step mother, Ruth; sisters, Laura Snyder and Pamela Hild; and niece, Chrissy Harbaugh.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 31, 2020 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25 ^th Street, with Pastor Bryan Taylor officiating.  Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.  Visitation is scheduled from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2020.
