Robert Dean Truttier

Robert Dean Truttier, 91, of Terre Haute passed away Sunday, April 17, 2022 in Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care.  He was born January 9, 1931 in Terre Haute to Merle Truttier and Florence Bowman Truttier.

Survivors include his daughter-in-law, Jane Truttier; grandchildren, Crystal Truttier, Amy Truttier Murphy (Justin), Elizabeth Truttier, and Anna Marie Truttier; great grandchildren, Pierce, Cohen, and Asher Murphy; companion, Patricia Dunn, her son, Jim(Brenda) and granddaughters, Kelcie and Kristyn; nephews, John Truttier and Bobby Truttier; and niece, Ruth Ann Johnson.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Ann Truttier; sons, Jeffrey and Gregory Truttier; his parents; and a brother, Larry Truttier.

Robert was an Army veteran serving from 1951-1953 and retired from Marathon Oil as office manager after 31 years of service.  He was a Member of the Masonic Lodge and was a member of Unity Presbyterian Church where he served as trustee, head usher, and official greeter. He loved watching sports and enjoyed playing golf and bowling where he had two 300 games.  Robert was an animal lover and supported the Exotic Feline Rescue Center.  He was a great storyteller and loved books and reading.  Robert enjoyed traveling with Patricia.  The family would like to thank the staff at Union Hospital and Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care for their compassionate caring and loving kindness.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 20, 2022 in Roselawn Memorial Park with Pastor Andrew Black officiating and military services by V.F.W. Post #972.  Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25 ^th Street.  There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care.
