Robert (Bob) Mitchell Price

Robert (Bob) Mitchell Price passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. Bob was 91 years old and living in Jacksonville at the time of his passing from natural causes.

Bob was born on April 21, 1932, in Terre Haute, Indiana to Robert and Frances (Mitchell) Price. Bob was an only child and was preceded in death by both of his parents. Bob is survived by his cousin, George Mitchell as well as his long-time friend and traveling companion, John Black.

Bob graduated from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida in June 1954 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Bob also received a Doctorate degree in Education from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.

Throughout his life, Bob had several jobs in Real Estate and Advertising. In 1991, Bob was named the Terre Haute Relator of the Year by Williams & Associates. Bob also enjoyed his moment of fame as the lead model for a highway billboard and newspaper advertising campaign for Westminster Village retirement community in 2001.

Bob loved to travel and traveled across the world by train, ship, and plane. He enjoyed seeing new places, meeting new people, and making new friends. Bob loved to share his fascinating stories about all the people (some famous) that he met throughout his life and travels. Bob was a dear friend to many and will be truly missed.

A graveside service for Bob will take place at 9:00 A.M., Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Roselawn Memorial Park, with Rev. Joseph H.
