Robert R. Peffley

Robert R. Peffley, 95, of Terre Haute passed away Sunday, September 29, 2024 in Clinton Gardens.  He was born June 1, 1929 in West Terre Haute to Charles E. Peffley and Opal Harmless Peffley.

Survivors include his son, Dallas Peffley (Donna); step-daughter, Wendy Hilton; grandchildren, April Peffley, Sarah Peffley Keller (Matt), and Robert Peffley (Ashley); and great grandchildren, Clyde Keller, Charlotte Keller, Bryar Clarkston, Kasen Floyd, Dallas Peffley, Holden Peffley, Bryn Peffley, Meryt Peffley. He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Marilyn Ruth Thompson Peffley and Kathleen Hilton Peffley; daughter, Delaine Peffley; and brother, Charles “Pete” Peffley.

Robert was the owner of Peffley-Hinshaw wrecker service and worked at Terre Haute Kenworth. He was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church. He like to camp and do woodworking. Robert was an Army Veteran.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Monday, October 7, 2024 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Reverend Ron Branson officiating.  Burial will follow in Clear Run Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to services from 1:00 until 3:00 P.M. on Monday. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to any Veterans Organization or Memorial United Methodist Church Missions.
