Robert Edsel Lawson

Robert Edsel Lawson, 85, of Terre Haute, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2016 in Union Hospital. He was born on November 21, 1930 in Clay City, Indiana to Charles Clinton Lawson and Olive Lorraine Cooprider Lawson. He was a retired salesman at Viquesney Office Supply Company. Robert was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Eileen Clara Hellman Lawson.

Survivors include a son, Mark Lawson and his wife Carol of Colorado Springs, CO; a daughter, Lorraine Hoopingarner and her husband Gary of New Goshen, IN; a brother, Charles Lawson of Rock Ledge, Florida; eight grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, several cousins and special friends, The Ciolli Family; Robert was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Irene McCullough.
Graveside services and visitation are private and under the direction of Callahan Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Alzheimers Association, 50 E. 91st Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46209-4830.
