Robert Michael Kintz

Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Margie Ann Tremelling Kintz; two daughters, Theresa Ann Kintz of Terre Haute and Carolyn Marie Kintz of Phoenix, AZ; two step-sons, Jack Leroy Kules and his wife, Bridget Kules of Waco, TX and Kenneth Kules and his wife, Helen Wells of Pasadena, CA; two grandchildren, Randy Kintz and Crystal Kintz both of Phoenix, AZ; and three great-grandsons, Coltin Kintz, Oliver Kincaid and Henry Kincaid. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his first wife, Oleta Faye Harris Kintz; and seven older brothers and sisters.
Bob was a 1948 graduate of Wiley High School and a 1953 graduate of the University of Notre Dame. He always loved planning and going to his class reunions at Wiley, of which he attended every one and was chairman of their 65th reunion in 2013. From 1971-2006 he lived and worked in Phoenix before returning to Terre Haute. He enjoyed listening to music, watching athletic events, especially football, and loved being with his family. He had compassion and a love of animals, taking in strays and feeding birds and squirrels daily. Bob was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and was a lifetime honorary member of Knights of Columbus Saint Mother Theodore Council #541.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 4:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 18, 2016 in St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1807 Poplar Street, with Father Dan Bedel officiating. Private burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to services on Tuesday from 3:30-4:00 P.M. in the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street. The family kindly requests that memorial contributions may be made to the Terre Haute Humane Society, P.O. Box, 3307, Terre Haute, IN 47803.
