Robert A. Hofmann (Rob), 59, of Cory, Indiana passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 in his home. Rob was born February 27, 1961 in Terre Haute, to David and Carolyn Sue (Shidler) Hofmann.
He was a 1979 graduate of Staunton High School and went to Lincoln Tech in Indianapolis. Rob was a mechanic for 40 + years at Dave White Ford in Clay City and currently worked at Bob Bowen Ford in Brazil. Rob married Nancy A. Fennell on May 16, 1980. Together they have 3 daughters. Rob enjoyed working on cars, helping others, spending time with his family and friends, and playing with his 7 grandkids and 2 grand-dogs, Emmy and Kane.
He attended The Life Center in Terre Haute where he was an usher. He had also been a volunteer fireman in Cory, Indiana for many years.
Rob is survived by his parents, David and Carolyn (Sue) Hofmann; wife, Nancy Hofmann; daughters Mindy (Matt) Landin, Kayla (Jared) Garman, and Brittany Hofmann (Nate Long); and grandchildren, Gabe and Rebekah Landin and Gwen, Max, Lilly, Bella and Cyrus Garman . Also surviving are his siblings, Steve (Amanda) Hofmann, Kevin Hofmann, Beth (Doug) Norris, and Brian (Lora) Hofmann; his mother-in-law, Betty Fennell; brothers-in-law, Allen Fennell and Franklin Fennell (Kristen); sister-in-law, Linda Mills; special friends, Ed and Charlene Gariano; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family. Rob was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herbert and Dorothy Hofmann and Orval and Imogene Shidler; and his father-in-law Franklin Fennell.
Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 PM, Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Callahan and Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Pastor Larry Richmond officiating. Visitation is scheduled prior to services from 3:00-6:00 PM in the funeral home.
