Bobby is survived by his lifelong companion, Sondra Wentz; sons Robert "Bobby" Sandifer, Jr. (Sabrina), Ray Smith, Jr. (Elaine), and Denny Wentz (Richzel); daughters Kimberly Sandifer and Heather Sandifer; brothers David Sandifer (Linda) and Steven Sandifer; a sister Virginia "Ditter" Holland; sister-in-law Emma Sandifer; brother-in-law Garrett Bell; grandchildren Robert Sandifer III, Kiara Sandifer, Alayna Sandifer, Ethan Sandifer, Stacie Wood, LaKendra Wheeler, Desirea Wheeler, Kimberly Wheeler, Jasmine Jones, Laylee Sandifer, Nathan Smith, Ray Smith III, Jaden Smith, Chelsey Purcell, Garren Wentz, Dailen Wentz, and Denise Wentz; many great-grandchildren, and many close cousins and nieces and nephews.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Myra Sandifer; a son, Danny "Bruiser" Wentz; brothers Aaron Sandifer, Perry Sandifer, and Clarence Sandifer; sister Mary Ann Sandifer-Bell; a granddaughter, Debbie Wheeler; and a close sister-in-law, Kathy Sandifer.
Bobby worked for the Terre Haute Street Department for many years. He spent much of his time with his family and especially his grandchildren, and in his spare time he enjoyed fishing on the Wabash and barbequing.
A visitation will be held on Friday May 31, 2019 from 2:00 until 3:00 PM at Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S 25th Street, with burial following at Grandview Cemetery, 1601 Lockport Road.
