Richard J. "Dick" Loges

Richard “Dick” Loges, 87, of Terre Haute passed away Thursday, October 6, 2022.  He was born July 27, 1935 in Dayton, OH to John and Lora Loges.

Survivors include his son, Bradley Loges; grandchildren, Tyler Loges and Miles Christopher Loges; special friend, Janice Layman; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years Melissa Zimmerly Loges; his parents; brothers, Bill Loges, Jack Loges, and Edward Loges; and sisters, Sue Dedeker, Barbara DeMoss, and Peggy Dedeker.

Dick had a construction and home improvement business for 30 years.  He was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, American Legion Post #104, Marine Corps League, and the Eagles.  Dick was a graduate of Schulte High School and attended Indiana State University. He served in the Army during the Korean War.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, October 13, 2022 in Calvary Cemetery with Father Ben Syberg officiating and military honors by American Legion Post #104.  Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25 ^th Street.  There will be no visitation.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Terre Haute Humane Society or St. Benedict Soup Kitchen.
