Richard L. Kuckewich

Richard L. Kuckewich, 74, of Buffalo Grove, IL and formerly of Terre Haute passed away in his sleep Saturday morning, November 6, 2021, following a long battle with cancer.  He was born June 15, 1947 in Terre Haute to John Kuckewich and Agnes Heubel Kuckewich.

Survivors include his sisters, Sharon Dick (Robert)  and Mary Kuckewich both of Terre Haute;  three nieces, Jennifer Stearns (David), Elizabeth Eiteljorge (Jason) and Ann M. Stephens (partner, Eren Newton);  four great-nephews, Gabe Eiteljorge, Aidan Eiteljorge, Jacob Stearns and Jonah Stearns;  a great-niece, Rosemary Eiteljorge;  brother-in-law, Clifford Stephens;  and many cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents;  and two sisters, Barbara Stephens and Rose Kuckewich.

“Rick” was a graduate of Schulte High School and served in the United States Army in Korea and during the Vietnam War where he received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.  Rick retired from Weiland Metals.  He enjoyed working out and was an avid reader.
