Richard E. Fell Richard E. Fell, 91, of Terre Haute died Tuesday, August 27, 2013 in Davis Gardens Health Care. He was born May 22, 1922 in Terre Haute to Hovey Fell and May Jeffers Fell. He was a retired installer and repairman for G.T.E. and is survived by his wife of 71 years, Grace Cassle Fell. Other survivors include his three daughters, Janice Schoffstall and her husband Larry of Terre Haute, Linda Horn and her husband Wayne of Denver, Colorado and Shirley Ellis and her husband Charles of Terre Haute; seven grandchildren, Lori Effner and her husband Chris, Larry Schoffstall, Jr. and his wife Amy, Jason Schoffstall and his wife Shelly, Richard Horn and his wife Becky, Kevin Horn and his wife Jillaine, Nathan Ellis and his wife Jennifer and Emily English and her husband Adam; and thirteen great grandchildren; Richard was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Russell Fell; and a sister, Frances Price. Richard was a graduate of Glenn High School, a member of Union Christian Church and I.B.E.W. # 725. He loved gardening and raising tomatoes and strawberries. In the 1950's Richard played the guitar and sang for the group "Hoosier Melody Boys" on the radio and at local functions. Richard also owned and operated The Garden Patch Restaurant here in Terre Haute for eight years. Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Friday, August 30, 2013 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home with Mark Grayless officiating. Burial is in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Friday in the funeral home. The family kindly request that memorial contributions be made to Alzheimers Association, 50 E. 91St, STE 100, Indianapolis, IN 46209-4830.
