Raymond J. Veit born May 8, 1956 was born to Eternal Life on July 23, 2024 at 68. As in his daily life, his passing was surrounded by family and faith. From the age of 16 he worked tirelessly to feed millions of students, soldiers, workers, patients, and the less fortunate. Upon retiring, Ray served with the Archdiocese of Indianapolis Deanery Center in Terre Haute.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Duchene Veit; his children: John, Shannon (Joe), Stephen (Lewis), Justine, & Thomas; his grandchildren: Patrick, Cecilia, Maryanna; and his siblings: Cathy (Fred), Norb (Cathy), Mary (Bob), Nora (Don) & Susan. He is now reunited with his father, his mother (Norbert and Shirley), all the angels and saints, as well as all the innocent unborn he fought to protect. The sunsets will be more beautiful, the stars will shine brighter, and the brooks will babble louder with his heavenly help. In his honor, protect nature, contribute to Catholic Charities, and go on to nourish souls and bodies on his behalf. His Mass is at St. Patrick’s Church on Saturday, August 3 at 11:00 am with a celebration luncheon will be held afterward at the Monsignor Moran Parish Life Center nearby. Pax vobiscum.
