Peggy Louise Adams Thompson, 88, of Terre Haute passed away Monday afternoon, January 19, 2015 at Sycamore Manor. She was born November 5, 1926 in Bloomington, Indiana to Ira and Amanda Robison Adams. Her husband, John William "Bill" Thompson, preceded her in death in 2004. Survivors include her two sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen J. & Janice Nagy Thompson of Terre Haute and Robert W. Thompson & Lora Lewis of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, Andrew S. Thompson and his wife, Kayla, of Bedford Hills, New York and Paul L. Thompson of Terre Haute; four sisters, Jeanette Thompson and her husband, Tommy, of Bloomington, Indiana, Connie Fagan and her husband, Tim, of Bloomington, Indiana, Pamela Simo and her husband, Jerry, of Columbus, Indiana and Kathy McClintock and her husband, Bob, of Brentwood, Tennessee; a brother-in-law, Paul Thompson and his wife, Geneva, of Terre Haute; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and three sisters, Patricia Adams, Barbara Bell and Cozette Bell. Peggy was a graduate of Bloomington High School and Indiana University. She was a member of Maple Avenue United Methodist Church, P.E.O. Chapter AW and Delta Zeta Sorority. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 24, 2015 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Dr. John Thompson and Reverend David Rockhill officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled for Friday from 5:00-8:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
