Pauline L. Johnson, 86, of Terre Haute passed away Sunday, September 14, 2014 in Westminster Health & Rehab. She was born March 26, 1928 in Detroit, MI to Harry James Struble and Olga Rose Meetz Struble. Pauline was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, Luther G. Johnson who passed away in 2002. They were married on June 7, 1949. Survivors include two sons, James L. Johnson of Dallas, TX and Keith L. Johnson and his wife Susan of Terre Haute; three daughters, Joanne L. Johnson of Indianapolis, Diane L. McCleary and her husband David of Farmersburg and Laurel L. Lovely of Cincinnati, OH; four grandchildren, Sarah Wilcoxen and her husband Rob, Eric Johnson and his wife Rita, Luke Johnson and his wife Jennifer and Jake Johnson; one great grandson, Samuel L. Johnson who arrived on September 1, 2014. Pauline was also preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, John August Struble and Robert Phillip Struble. Pauline graduated from Fairmont High School in Minnesota in 1945 and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Valparaiso University in 1949. She was President and Secretary of Delta Theta Tau in Clinton, IN; Treasurer of Terre Haute Day Nursery Association; President and Treasurer of Terre Haute Law Wives, Treasurer of Indiana Lawyer Auxiliary, President and Secretary of the Alliance of Swope Museum; President and Vice-President of the M&M Investment Club and Daughters of the American Revolution. She was also a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. Her hobbies included bridge, golf and genealogy. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, September 19, 2014 in Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 645 Poplar Street with Pastor Jacob Sutton officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Friday in the church.
