Paul Leonard Roby, 80, of Terre Haute, passed away Friday morning, August 7, 2015 in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was born March 26, 1935 in Terre Haute to Shannon Theodore Roby, Sr. and Suzanne Mehok Roby. Paul work in auto sales most of his life having worked for local Ford, Buick and Chevrolet dealers. Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Judy McCready Roby; a daughter, Leslie Christian and her husband, Kevin, of Cloverdale, IN; a son, Theodore Vernon and his wife, Patricia, of Bend, OR; a brother, Shannon T. Roby, Jr. and his wife, Norma, of Terre Haute; and two sisters, Gloria Ross of Washington and Marsha Paton and her husband, Bill, of Florida. Also surviving are a sister-in-law, Alice Keller of Evansville, IN; a step-granddaughter, Christina Christian; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Paul L. Roby, Jr.; two brothers, Bernie Roby and Richard Roby; and a sister, Donna Bauer. Paul was a graduate of Gerstmeyer High School and attended Indiana State University. He served in the Indiana Air National Guard at Hulman Field and was a member of American Legion Post #104 and St. Benedict Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 12:05 P.M. Tuesday, August 11, 2015 in St. Benedict Catholic Church, 111 South 9th Street, with Father Martin Day officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Military Graveside Honors provided by American Legion Post #104. Visitation is scheduled prior to services on Tuesday from 10:00 AM - 12:00 Noon in the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street.
