Paul Leon King, 93, of Terre Haute passed away at Meadows Manor North on Saturday, January 23, 2016. He was born November 21, 1922 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Herbert A. King and Ruth E. Orman King.
Paul was a United States Army veteran during World War II, having served in Europe. He was a graduate of Purdue University in 1949 where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Paul married Audra Wininger of West Baden, Indiana in 1950. She preceded him in death in 2008. He was also preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Margaret Roupp and her husband, Robert.
Survivors include his three children, Ralph King of Terre Haute, Russell King of Terre Haute and Donna Turner and her husband, David, of Harmony, Indiana; and one grandson, Gavin Turner of Terre Haute.
Paul retired in 1983 as Electrical Supervisor from the Wabash River Generating Station after 33 years of service with Public Service Indiana, now Duke Energy. He was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 27, 2016 in Callahan Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Reverend Scott Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, January 26th from 5:00-7:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Funeral information may also be found at www.callahanandhughes.com.
