Patricia (Pat) A. Wedel Brewer, 86, of Indianapolis, IN, formerly of Terre Haute was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 29, 2017 at her place of residence . She will be forever missed by her Children and Grandchildren, who were the highlight of her life.

She was born April 14th in Brazil, Indiana, to Mabel R. Patrick Wedel and Clifton A. Wedel, attended grade school In Vincennes and Junior and Senior High School in Terre Haute. Following graduation she was employed as a Payroll Clerk and Assistant Cashier at the Tribune Star newspaper In Terre Haute for 15 years. Before marriage she enjoyed summer water skiing and in cool weather would sing with the municipal musicians. It was during this time a mutual friend introduced her to Warren Brewer.

In 1960, she married Warren who had served in the Navy during World War II and was a high school teacher. They were married for 44 years and were blessed with two children and three grandchildren.

Pat was a devout Christian and actively involved in her church. She loved to attend her grandchildren's extracurricular activities and spending as much time with them as possible. She enjoyed reading mystery books while trying to solve the crime and poetry, especially those of Helen Steiner Rice. She also enjoyed crocheting, counted cross stitch and crafts, which were helpful when she served as a Brownie leader and also a Cub Scout leader.

In 2011, Pat moved to Indianapolis to be closer to family. While residing at American Village she looked forward to exercising, yoga, cornhole, listening to musicians, coffee time and happy hour. Pat was not one to sit and twiddle her thumbs, she would encourage all residents to share smiles and laughter. Her favorite hymn 'Let There Be Peace On Earth (and let it begin with me)' could happen if everyone smiled and laughed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren, on October 19, 2004 and her parents.

Surviving are her children and their spouses, Daughter, Kellie Brewer Moore & Son-In-Law, Joseph A. (Andy) Moore of Indianapolis; Son, Warren David Brewer & Daughter-in-Law, Jolyn DiTanna Brewer of Carmel, IN. Grandchildren, Brittany Ann Moore of Indianapolis, IN and Trevor Andrew Moore of Indianapolis, IN; and Hope Angeline Brewer of Carmel, IN; Brother, Donald L. Wedel & Sister-In-Law, Karen J. Wedel of Fairfield Glade, TN; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 2nd from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Callahan Hughes Funeral Home located at 605 S. 25th St., Terre Haute, IN; Funeral services will be Friday, November 3rd at 11:00 am with the Reverend Philip Dorrell at Callahan Hughes. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her Husband and Mother.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Macular Degeneration Research in memory of Patricia Brewer.
