Nora Jane Royer

Survivors include her five children, Mark Royer of Terre Haute, William K. Royer and his wife, Vicki, of Denver, CO, Janie Royer Gibbons and her husband, Kevin, of Golden, CO, Jenny Dixon of Terre Haute and Karen Samm and her husband, Brian, of Terre Haute; a sister, Ellen Macfarlane and her husband, Dick, of Summerville, SC; and two sisters-in-law, Joan Smith of Wisconsin and Kay Birck of Chicago. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a former son-in-law, David Reed; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Sonia Reed; and a brother, Rupert Shook.
Nora was a graduate of Indiana State Laboratory High School and was a member of American Legion Post #346 Auxiliary.
Visitation is scheduled from 1:00-3:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 23, 2016 in Callahan Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street. Burial services will follow at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum with Reverend Larry Hellis officiating. The family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, 60 East 56th Street, 8th Floor, New York, NY 10022.
