MILDRED LOUISE HOOPENGARNER ORMAN Mildred Louise Hoopengarner Orman, 82, of Terre Haute died Sunday evening, July 21, 2013 in Southwood Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born January 2, 1931 in Cory, Indiana to Fred Crandell and Rose Courtney Crandell. Survivors include her husband, Coy Orman; a son, Max Hoopengarner and his wife, Susan, of Terre Haute; three daughters, Arlene Christjansen and her husband, Rick, of Oro Valley, AZ, Molly Weust and her husband, John, of Katy, TX and Martha Hopewell and her husband, Mark, of Woodruff, SC; two step-sons, Ben Orman and his wife, Pauline, of Terre Haute and Mic Orman and his wife, LaRysa, of Terre Haute; a step-daughter, Margaret Fulsom of Terre Haute; nine grandchildren, Justin Weust, Carley Hoopengarner (Zach Morgan), Bryan Christjansen (Beth), Jennifer Brown (Scott), Mark Hopewell (Emily), Cameron Hopewell (Sara), Erin Beltramini (Mauro), J.W. Weust (Dorothy) and Casey Hummel (Clay); nine great-grandchildren, Emily & Andrea Christjansen, Jakob & Carter Brown, Max & Greta Hummel, Rocco Beltramini, Jovie Weust, Mark Hopewell III, and three great-grandchildren expected to be born later this year; two brothers, Courtney Crandell (Katherine) of Terre Haute and Dan Crandell of Wabash, IN; a sister-in-law, Patricia Hoopengarner of Cloverdale, IN and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Max Hoopengarner; a son, Keith Hoopengarner; a brother-in-law, Paul Hoopengarner; and a sister-in-law, Doris Crandell. Mildred was a graduate of Riley High School and was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, Badoura Chapter #23 Daughters of the Nile and Riley Chapter #22 Order of the Eastern where she served as Past District Deputy and Past Matron. She was an avid quilter. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, July 26, 2013 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, beginning with an Eastern Star Memorial Service at 1:00 P.M. followed immediately by a funeral service with Pastor Rick Swan and Pastor Aaron Wheaton officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Riley, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled prior to services on Friday from 10:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
