Mary Margaret (Peggy) Haugh, 84, Jasper and formerly of Terre Haute passed away Friday, May 13, 2016, at St Marys Hospital in Evansville. She was born May 8, 1932, in Glenn Ellyn, Illinois, to Harold and Anne Schinler Napier.
Surviving include her six children: daughters, Laura (Ken) Buck of Jasper and Margaret (Bill) Crellin of Orlando, Florida; four sons, John Vidal of Cape Coral, Florida, Daniel Vidal, Andrew Vidal, and Tony Vidal all of Terre Haute; nine grandchildren: Dan (Brandi) Buck of Jasper, Joe(Joanna) Buck of Miami Beach, Florida, Erin (Aric) Vinacke of Sandford, Florida, Billy (Jenna) Crellin of Orlando, Florida, Christopher Vidal of Lexington, North Carolina, Matthew Vidal, Lauren Vidal, Hayden Vidal, and Patrick Vidal of Terre Haute; seven great-grandchildren; brother John Napier of Jensen Beach, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eamer Haugh, sister, Patsy Nutall, and sister-in-law, Marilyn Napier.
Peggy attended St. Patrick School and graduated from Wiley High School in Terre Haute. She also attended Indiana University. Peggy worked as a Title one assistant at Davis Park Elementary in Terre Haute and 24 years at Hamilton Center Childrens Learning Center with Early Head Start. She retired in 2003. Peggy earned her bus driving license at age 70. She moved to Jasper in 2008 where she was active at the Habig Center of Jasper. She enjoyed devoting her time to her family, home, and garden.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 4, 2016, from 2:00 3:00 p.m. EDT at the Callahan Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, Terre Haute. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. EDT. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arnold F. Habig Older American Center or Jasper Humane Society.
