Mary EmilyHinghouse Klaus Mary Emily Hinghouse Klaus, 93, of Terre Haute died Tuesday, June 4, 2013 in her residence. She was born October 16, 1919 in Terre Haute. Survivors include a son, Charles H. Klaus of Knoxville, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Dorothy English of Terre Haute. Mary was a graduate of Wiley High School, attended Indiana State Teachers College up to her sophomore year, then attended Vogue School of Design in Chicago and then back to Indiana State Teachers College where she graduated on June 20, 1942. She was a member and a volunteer of Episcopal Church of the Ascension in Knoxville, TN. She was also a substitute teacher in Knoxville. Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 17, 2013 at Roselawn Memorial Park with Reverend Mary Slenski officiating. There is no visitation scheduled. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street.
