Mary E. Huffenberger Mary E. Huffenberger, 88, passed away at her daughter's residence on October 4, 2014 in Terre Haute, IN. She was born in Seelyville, IN, on September 14, 1926 to Edward T. Craffets and Lucille Maesch Craffets. She was a homemaker and a business owner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Huffenberger on April, 11 2008. Survivors include two sons, John Huffenberger and his wife Elaine of Denison, TX, Michael Huffenberger of Arlington, TX; one daughter, Susan Boehler and her husband Chuck of Terre Haute, IN; one sister, Joan Bennett and husband Jeff of Huntsville, AL; a special niece, Dianne Stuckey and her husband Larry of Terre Haute, IN; 8 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two brothers, Edward and John Craffets. Mary was a member of St. Joseph University Parish. She attended Seelyville School from grades 1st to 8th and graduated from Glenn High School in April 1944. She moved to Dayton, Ohio in May 1944, worked at Wright Patterson AFB until World War II ended. There, she met and married the love of her life, Sgt. Lester Huffenberger. She traveled together with him for 20 years as an Airforce wife, living in Alaska, Japan, Vermont, Maine and Idaho. After 21 years, they returned to Terre Haute. In 1988 with daughter Sue, opened Crafter Barrel Craft and Gift Shoppe Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 6, 2014 in St. Joseph University Parish, 113 S. 5th Street with Friar Mark Weaver officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. There is no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street.
