Mary Ellen (Gorrell) Blye

Mary Ellen (Gorrell) Blye, “LaLa”, of Terre Haute passed away early Friday morning, July 19, 2024 in the Gorrell Family Home.  She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 26, 1948 to Rolland and Charlotte Gorrell.  Her parents;  her grandmother, Marie (Gonny) Gorrell;  sister Peggy Fields;  and her husband, Jack Alan Blye, whom she married in 2002, all preceded her in death.

Mary Ellen graduated from Schulte High School in 1966.  She worked for General Housewares/ World Kitchens for 35 years, retiring in 2010.

Survivors include her siblings, David Gorrell  (Linda), Larry Gorrell (Kelly), Cleo Morris, Janice Blanc, Rex Fields, Charlene Parkins (Mark), Mark Gorrell (Ann) and Patty Kitchens (Gerald).  She was the favorite Aunt for three generations of nieces and nephews.

Visitation is scheduled from 12:00 Noon til 2:00 PM, on Monday, July 22, 2024 at Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, Terre Haute, IN.  Graveside services will follow at Calvary Cemetery, 4227 Wabash Avenue, Terre Haute, IN.
