Marvin J. Mucha, 86, of Terre Haute passed away early Monday morning, October 7, 2019 in the Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care. He was a Pharmacist for over 60 years in Terre Haute having been a co-owner of Meadows Pharmacy and later a Manager for Osco Pharmacy. Marvin was born August 2, 1933 in Taylor, Texas to Jerry Mucha and Annie Leshikar Mucha.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 65 years, Murelann Morris Mucha; two daughters, Jeri Taylor and Barbara Watler (John) both of Terre Haute; his brother, Clifford S. Mucha (Angie) of Leander, TX; and four grandchildren, Lindsay Taylor, Laura Burnett (Tony), Graham Arnold and Aaron Arnold (Brittany). Also surviving are nine great-grandchildren, Anthony Burnett, Beau Burnett, Taylor Burnett, Makayla Arnold, James Chrisman, Graham Arnold, Carter Arnold, Gemma Arnold and Evelyn Arnold; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved cat, Homee.
Marvin was a graduate of the University of Texas and served with both the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church, Sycamore Club and the S.P.J.S.T. of Taylor, TX. Marvin enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends and Texas Longhorns football.
Memorial services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, October 12, 2019 in the Chapel of Highland Lawn Cemetery, 4420 Wabash Avenue, with Reverend Scott Johnson officiating. Military Honors will be provided by VFW Post #972. Burial will follow in the cemetery. To honor his wishes, there is no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street.
