Marliss Ann Jackson, 63, of Terre Haute passed away early Friday morning, July 5, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born April 21, 1956 in Terre Haute to Theodore Hoggatt and Patricia Mansholt Hoggatt. Throughout her life, Marliss had a special relationship to her grandmother, Susan Mansholt.
Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Michael Ray Jackson; her two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Lee and Diana Jackson of Whiteland, IN and Matt and Charity Jackson of Paris, IL; four grandchildren, Nicolas Jackson, Peyton Jackson, Andrea Rupska and Garrett Rupska; two sisters; two brothers-in-law, Tom Jackson (Sandy) and Mark Jackson (Jodi); and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Marliss was a graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School. She was a homemaker and also a retired cook with the Vigo County School Corporation. Marliss was an animal lover and also enjoyed playing the keyboard, cooking and had a true passion for quilting. She was a BIG fan of "I Love Lucy" and loved listening to the Beach Boys.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, July 9, 2019 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Pastor Ric May officiating. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Monday from 4:00-8:00 PM in the funeral home.
