Marjorie A. Piazza, 85, of Terre Haute, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2015 in Union Hospital. She was born on March 15, 1930 in Indianapolis to Otto Polk and Pauline Stern Polk. She was a retired office manager for the John Figg Insurance Agency. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Cosmo J. Piazza in 1995. Survivors include a son, Pete J. Piazza and his wife Kim of Terre Haute; a daughter, Pamela Piazza Curry and her husband W. Scott of Fort Mill, SC; three grandchildren, Jayme Curry-Tucker and her husband Jason, J. Scott Curry and Erica S. Piazza; and three great grandchildren, Carson Tucker, Cameron Tucker and Trevor Ley. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; and four brothers, Kenneth Polk, Gilbert Polk, Marvin Polk and Merrill Polk. Marjorie was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, past president of the Women's Fire Auxiliary and a Democratic Precinct Committee Person. She was office manager for the former Mayor, Bill Brighton, manager for the Bureau of Motor Vehicles in Vigo County and a former Deputy Clerk. She loved music and enjoyed playing her piano. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, October 9, 2015 in St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Rick Ginther officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. in the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street.
