Marilynn R. Napier, 78, of Jensen Beach, Florida and formerly of Terre Haute passed away peacefully at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart, Florida on September 7, 2015. Marilynn was born January 17, 1937 in Lyons, Kansas to Wayne and Ruth Markle. A loving wife and mother, she worked as a registered nurse early in her life. Marilynn was a graduate of Lyons High School and received her R.N. degree from Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Marilynn and her husband John wed at St. Michael's Chapel, Marine Corps Base, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. She raised four children while living in Terre Haute, Indiana, St. Louis, Missouri and Northbrook, Illinois. Upon her husband's retirement, Marilynn lived in Franklin, TN and South Florida and travelled extensively around the world. She loved cooking, entertaining friends, working crossword puzzles and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. She devoted her life to caring for her family. Marilynn was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stuart, Florida. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, John E. Napier; her four children, Julie Moss of Tampa, Florida, John A. Napier of Seattle, Washington, Joan (and David) Logel of O'Fallon, Missouri, and Angela Jandreski of Franklin, Tennessee. She leaves five grandchildren; Brian Arndt, Ben and Patrick Logel, and Hannah and Ryan Jandreski. She is also survived by her sister, Shelley Stallings of Scottsdale, Arizona her brother, Phil Markle of Goodyear, Arizona, a sister-in-law, Mary Margaret "Peggy" Haugh of Jasper, Indiana, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and an infant son, Patrick Thomas Napier. Memorial Services are scheduled for 3:00 P.M. Saturday, October 17, 2015 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Father Rick Ginther officiating. After the services, family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Marilyn's Life at 5:00 P.M. at the Holiday Inn of Terre Haute, 3300 South U.S. Highway 41.
