Marilynn Jean Fischer Marilynn Jean Fischer, 78, formerly of Terre Haute, IN and Streator, IL, passed away on January 13, 2015 a Marilynn was born March 7, 1936 in Terre Haute, IN to V. Eugene "Gene"Hirschfeld and Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Clifton Hirschfeld. She married Robert Joseph "Bob" Fischer and he preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, Lynn DeGeorge of Anchorage, AK; Carol Fischer of Aurora, CO; R. Graig Fischer of Venice, FL and Marcia Fischer of Sarasota, FL; three grandsons, Thomas, Nicholas and Michael, all of Aurora, CO and three granddaughters, Tara, Clair and Leah all of Anchorage, AK. Marilynn has a sister, Karen Hirschfeld of Albuquerque, NM; and three brothers; Tom Hirschfeld of Aurora, CO; Rob Hirschfeld of Aurora, CO; and Bill Hirschfeld of Lone Tree, CO. She was preceded in death by her sister, Alicean Denehie. She worked at Terre Haute First National Bank in Terre Haute, IN; she was active in Tri Kappa Sorority, delivered meals with Meals on Wheels, actively supported her children's swim activities through the Terre Haute Aquatic Club (THAC); Elk's Swim Club and through their high school years at Terre Haute South Vigo H. S. She attended St. Margaret Mary Church and school, Schulte H. S., was a member of St. Benedict's Church until she relocated to Venice, FL where she attended Our Lady of Lourdes until her death. Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Monday, January 19, 2015 at Calvary Cemetery Chapel with Father Rick Ginther officiating. Burial will follow immediately after services in the cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street.
